Terms for Wirt County Property Records

These terms apply whenever Wirt County Property Records is used. By continuing to use the reference, you accept the rules below. Do not use it if you do not agree.

1. Nature of the Reference

Wirt County Property Records is privately operated. It explains and links to the county deed, tax, assessment, and parcel sources for Wirt County, West Virginia, but it stores no official records. It is not affiliated with a government office, court, Clerk, Assessor, or other custodian.

2. Lawful Use Rules

Use the site and linked information only as the law allows. You may not use it or information found through it to:

  • Follow, harass, threaten, intimidate, or injure another person
  • Commit identity theft, deed fraud, or another unlawful act
  • Use information for a decision regulated by the FCRA
  • Copy, scrape, or republish site content at scale
  • Disrupt the site’s security or normal operation

3. No Consumer Reports

This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. §1681 et seq. Neither its content nor results from a linked search tool are consumer reports. They may not be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated purpose.

4. No Title or Survey Opinion

A search of property records does not replace a title search, boundary survey, or legal advice. Consult a title company, licensed surveyor, or attorney to resolve title or boundary issues; this reference cannot perform that work.

5. External Services

County and state portals, archives, and sponsored search providers set their own terms. Wirt County Property Records does not control their content, uptime, fees, or handling of submitted data.

6. No Warranty

The reference is offered “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that details are accurate, complete, current, or that an external portal will open or return the right result.

7. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages connected with use of this site or a linked resource, including reliance on a record result.

8. Responsibility for Misuse

You agree to protect the site operators against claims, demands, and reasonable legal fees caused by your unlawful use of the reference or breach of these terms.

9. Copyright and Reuse

Original text, logo, design, and layout are protected by copyright. Links and short attributed excerpts are welcome; full-page republication or systematic copying is not permitted.

10. Revisions

A revised version may be posted on this page. Continued use after an update takes effect means the revised terms apply.

11. Governing Law

West Virginia law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Public-record requests to covered government custodians are addressed by the West Virginia Freedom of Information Act, W.Va. Code Chapter 29B, including §29B-1-3 for response duties and §29B-1-4 for exemptions.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
